Overview

Ranney Blair is a design-build firm that offers full-service home renovations and additions for Greater North Atlanta. As a company, we focus on a premium experience and offer clients an all-in-one solution to design their projects with a local showroom and on-staff designers.

Ranney Blair Home Renovations is seeking a motivated, energetic and driven Designer responsible for executing the design and selections for a Ranney Blair Home Renovations project. Includes working with our clients, internal team, trade partners, external designers, and vendors.

The Designer will start working on the job once a Design & Budget Planning Agreement has been signed and will manage the design phase, overseeing the design and selection process using our Good-Better-Best model. They are responsible for client-facing meetings during the design phase and helping with the project's overall design using our products and vendors.

They will offer support to the Project Developer and Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to ensure a smooth design process.
  • Work with and support internal team members (Project Developer, Project Managers)
  • Follow design schedules and hit critical milestones for each project.
  • Draw layouts using Chief Architect design software. Cabinets, electrical, plumbing, tile patterns, flooring direction, or any other information needed for the build.
  • Learn and master product lines and offerings.
  • Manage the design and selection of materials.
  • Order finish materials such as cabinets, tile, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, flooring, etc.
  • Maintain and organize the showroom.

Requirements

  • Drawing experience in Chief Architect is required (or similar)
  • A strong understanding and use of technology is a MUST
  • Commitment to and passion for residential renovation
  • Must be able to follow a process and suggest improvements where necessary
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans
  • The ability to measure kitchen and bathroom spaces is a plus
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • Ability to use and input information into JobTread
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve objectives
  • Effective time management skills, operational efficiency
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality
  • Use independent judgment to analyze, troubleshoot, and find solutions
  • Ability to work well as a team
  • Travel to job sites, vendor sites, etc
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement-oriented mindset
  • Seek professional development
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
  • Eligible for performance bonus and profit sharing
